With this in mind an exhibition has been planned to take place from the Friday 9th to the 11th of November 2018, marking the end of the First World War.
The event is to be held at Central Methodist Church and will display the stories of each fallen serviceman from the town and the local villages along with life at home stories. Theses include the Belgium refugees story, the Suffragette connections and PoW stories.
The highlight of the event is the publication of a book by Roger Pyke and Jim Edwards, 'Launceston and District and the Great War.' The exhibition is based on the material contained in the book.
