Worship at Central Methodist Church Launceston 

Our Sunday Services are held at 10.30am and 6.30pm.
At Central, worship lies at the heart of our purpose, as we strive to experience the touch of God’s Spirit in our lives.

Our services encompass a wide range of styles to cater to different preferences. On the first Sunday of each month at 10.30am, we hold a family service specifically designed for young families and children of all ages. This service is engaging and inclusive.

The musical aspect of our worship combines traditional hymns and contemporary worship songs. In addition to the organ used in traditional services, we also have a live worship group and a singing group with tracks to lead the music in our more contemporary services.

Once a month, we come together to celebrate Holy Communion, inviting everyone who is seeking God to partake in this special occasion.

Our Sunday Morning Worship at 10.30am offers a diverse range of styles and musical support, ranging from contemporary to traditional.
The entire church family stays together for this service, and we provide an area dedicated to young families and children, where they can engage in art and crafts throughout the service.

For our Sunday Evening Worship at 6.30pm, we offer different experiences each week. On the first Sunday of the month, we have a Traditional Worship service at 6.30pm. On the 2nd, 4th, and 5th Sundays, we have ‘245 Alive’ worship, featuring a contemporary style with a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. On the 3rd Sunday of the month, we host ‘Praise & Learning’ at 6.30pm, which adopts a relaxed home group style of service with songs, prayers, and teaching.

We are blessed with talented worship bands, including a live band and a singing group, who utilises high-quality worship backing tracks to enhance our worship experiences.
