Wesley Cottage

Wesley Cottage is part of the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Methodist District. When John Wesley and his preachers were travelling across the UK in the 1700’s they often called at Wesley Cottage for shelter, rest and refreshment.

Today we are delighted to host visitors and offer similar hospitality in the tranquil atmosphere of this very special museum and mission centre. As well as a good variety of memorabilia (including John Wesley’s preaching bands) we are the site of what is believed to be the smallest place of worship in the world and the stie of the annual Preach from the Porch, remembering John Wesley’s strangely warmed heart

Wesley Cottage is open every FRIDAY 10am to 4pm from May to October (inclusive).
Open at all other times (Jan to Dec) by arrangement.
Please email curator@wesleycottage.org.uk if you would like to book a visit and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Please give us as much notice as possible.
There may be a rare occasion when we are not able to open on a Friday in the summer (due to a special event or school visit, etc), or we may need to close unexpectedly. We will post a message on our Facebook page should this occur.
